"Appassionata"
Frederick Hart’s Appassionata is aptly named for one of Ludwig von Beethoven’s most familiar and beloved sonatas for piano. Both the sonata and Hart’s sculpture are magnificent expressions of breathtaking beauty, blending fiery emotion and soothing repose in perfect unity.
Through Hart’s mastery of “sculpting with light,” the inner mystery and passion of love are exquisitely revealed in Appassionata. The two figures radiate the brilliance of relationship that is true and lasting.
Both Beethoven’s sonata and Hart’s Appassionata are nobly impassioned, grandly conceived and perfectly executed.
