"The Divine Milieu"
THE DIVINE MILIEU: HOMAGE TO TEILHARD DE CHARDIN
Frederick Hart, as he sought the solution to The Creation Sculptures at Washington National Cathedral, formed a deep spiritual connection to the writings of Teilhard de Chardin. Deliberately, energetically, Hart explored the ways in which the material could embody the spiritual and eternal. This work, The Divine Milieu: Homage to Teilhard de Chardin, shows the struggle and striving of the choral dance; the human interdependence, in which we are all even now part of one another, linked body, soul, mind and heart.
With The Divine Milieu Hart invites to enter the choral dance; to be drawn like Adam to what we cannot see and enter the mystical night – and maybe, just maybe, we will be able to build the day.
