The title for Flohr's "Streets of Gold" was inspired by the lasting impact the California Gold Rush of 1849 has had on this lively city by the Bay. All of the circumstances that fueled the gold rush and the sort of person who was compelled to participate in such a historic event have had a profound influence here.
