Michael Flohr's latest image takes us to "Happy Hour" at the legendary Buena Vista in San Francisco. Located across the street from Fisherman's Wharf, the city's most popular tourist destination, the Buena Vista translates to "good view" in Spanish. The Buena Vista has been a popular meeting place since 1916 when the first floor of a boarding house was converted into a saloon. It is renowned for being the home of America's first, authentic Irish Coffee (made to perfection in 1952 and still being served today.)
The luminous color emanating from the windows against the soothing tones of the interior chosen from the artist's exquisite pallet convince us that the Buena Vista is a perfect place to warm up from the cool breeze off the San Francisco Bay.
