“During the past several years my art has grown tremendously. My contemporary realism work is rendered in oil on wood panel, using many transparent layers of color to glow and absorb light, as well as refract it. As my oil pieces have evolved, so too have my acrylic paintings. I once again find inspiration in what is classic by painting dynamic flowers and still life imagery on canvas treated with a rough surface and glow of metallic paint. The subject matter is timeless, but the manner in which I present it is current with a gentle nod to the past.”

Brian O’Neill is a self-taught artist who was born in 1969 in Long Island, NY. His passion for gardening, along with his heightened sense of color and design inspire his bold florals and magnificent still life paintings.
