Costa was born in 1968 in Jilin, China. Having a creative mind, even at an early age, Costa had an interest and talent in the arts. Costa grew up in Jilin and graduated in 1991 from Yanbian Art College with a degree in fine arts. He studied and mastered the techniques of the classical styles of painting, integrating it into his unique style of painting.

Costa is a talented artist with an admirable skill in painting. Costa’s painting is clearly distinguished by his use of heavy palette knive impasto. His use of vibrant colors, mixed with strong color contrasts, draws much attention to his subjects. He uses rich jewel tones, and his paintings depict classic scenes that are easy for the viewer to relate to. His contemporary impressionistic still-life works are eye-catching and are gaining a collector following.

Costa is a member of Jilian Art Association and Chinese Modern Art Association. He has been exhibited in the Jilin Province Art Exhibition, Chinese Artist Annual Exhibition, National Oil Painting Exhibition, 5th National Fine Art Expo, 6 People International Youth Oil Painting Exhibition and Group Exhibition at Beijing.
