Evening Farewell

This is one of my own favorite winter landscapes. Towards the end of day, when the sky cleared after a snowfall that lasted for almost twenty four hours, I remember standing there, nearly up to my waist in snow watching the sun disappear. I felt I could fall asleep in this snow, so soft and warm.
