Artwork Size: 30″ x 30″
Price: $1,250.00
Kensett was born on August 10, 1959. His father was an art professor at a local university; painting could be an inborn talent Kensett held within himself.
While in middle school, his art teacher noticed his talent in art and recommended further training. At that time he began experimenting with pastels and watercolors. After furthering his art studies, Kensett graduated from Pusan Art School. In 1983 Kensett received a degree from the Dong A. University of Art. He went on to become an art instructor for the Art Institute in Korea.
Kensett exhibited in the Seoul Gallery as a member of the Seoul International Artists Association. He participated in, and painted abroad in the Artist exchange program for Korea, Japan and China.
Starting In 1988 Kensett traveled all through Europe to study and develop his sketches and paintings. Kensett was so inspired by the life in Paris, France, and the province of South France, so much that he decided to become a resident. Kensett participated in art exhibitions like “The Great Art Exhibition” for the Korean government, which really put his name out on the world art market. Kensett exhibited as a member of a realistic and modern art group in the Seoul Realistic Art Exhibit.
The realistic and lifelike landscape views of Kensett’s works have a very European romantic feel. They make you want to travel to the exact spot in his piece and pick a flower from the garden or breathe the crisp ocean breeze. His texture and color palette evoke the feeling of serenity to anyone who gazes at the buiety of the work.
