Peter Blair Biography
Peter Blair was born in Seoul, Korea in 1949. He was enthusiastic about art and painting since childhood, and joined the art club in high school to continue developing his knowledge. His career in painting began when he attended college to specialize in oil painting. Because he was born and raised near the ocean, he has always held a fascination for nautical images and seaside landscapes. His love for the Oceanside is apparent from the translucent layers of paint he uses to create peaceful, subdued imagery. His color pallet is soft, with the subtle brushstrokes creating a realistic landscape of sand and surf.
In 1993, Blair displayed his original oil paintings at the New York and Atlanta Art Expos, introducing his artwork to the United States. Since then has been involved in many personal and public exhibitions throughout the United States, Korea, and Japan. His artwork can be found at select galleries and private collections throughout the world.
