R. Scott
A Peaceful Day II
Medium: Original Oil on Canvas
Framed Size: 46″ x 35″
Price: $1,750.00
R. Scott was born in Seoul, Korea in 1949. Always interested in art and nature, he began showing signs of artistic promise at a young age, especially when it came to landscapes. Throughout the years, he has developed a style for his original oil paintings that is softer and has a more natural feel the landscape or seascape, avoiding bright colors if they have no place. R. Scott has chosen smooth paint application that supports his gentle view of nature. The sand he paints looks soft and warm to the touch, the limbs of the birch trees seems to almost sway gently to the viewer’s eye. It is as though he was relaxed, unhurried, and had a precious moment to share.
In 1993, he launched his international career and began to exhibit his original oil landscape paintings at the New York and Atlanta Art Expos. Beginning in 1995, he held several solo exhibitions throughout Korea and Japan, and can be found in select fine art galleries throughout the United States.
