Rodrigo (Jing Ping Ma) was born in 1979 in Henan, China. A talented artist from the beginning, he has since become a very prominent figure throughout the Chinese fine art community. At an early age he began to draw and paint images of the lush Chinese countryside, inspiring him to experiment with a palette knife to achieve the texture and bold colors he perceived in nature.
During his mid-twenties, Rodrigo took first place in the oil painting category of Beijing’s Art Expo, propelling his career into motion. Since then he has had his artwork introduced to the United States and parts of Europe where it has been praised for its depth and color mixing. He currently works as an art teacher with Henan College of Education.
