As a young adult, he worked as an art teacher at the Gillimsung Middle School until 2011. Later, he renounced his academic career to move to Xiamen in order to pursue an artistic existence.
Early on, Wong steered strongly toward contemporary abstract figurative styles. He explored painting media and various techniques through acrylic and oils. As his technique progressed, he developed a more versatile style that began to include floral arrangements, still life scenes and more.
Seth Wong’s recognition in the art world began in Shanghai. He held public and private exhibitions throughout the city. He also showed his art in Beijing and Guangzou. In 2012, his artwork gained international appreciation when he introduced his paintings to the United States. Since then his work has found its way into multiple galleries and private collections throughout the world.
