Young Artist Scholarship Competition

Submission Requirements:
Size Restraints: Artwork cannot exceed 16”x20”
Eligible Media: Acrylic, watercolor, and oil paintings, drawing, photography, and mixed-media artwork. Installation, performance, video, sculpture, and AI generated artwork will not be accepted. All accepted artwork must be ready to hang prior to drop-off. We prefer art on paper to be framed, however we will accept the piece if it is mounted or matted. Wet or incomplete artwork will not be accepted.
Age: Open to all Oakland County High School Students
Entry Fee: $10 per person (up to 3 works)
Uploading Images: Image files must be submitted in a .jpg format and titled in the following format:
Artwork 1: firstname_lastname1.jpg
Artwork 2: firstname_lastname2.jpg
Artwork 3: firstname_lastname3.jpg
Important Dates:
Submission Deadline: March 31, 2025
Accepted Artists Notified: April 2, 2025
Artwork Drop Off: April 3 – 5, 2025
Exhibition & Voting: April 7-25, 2025
Exhibition Reception & Awards: April 26, 2025 5-7pm
Prizes:
1st Place: $1,500 & Certificate
2nd Place: $500 & Certificate
3rd Place: $250 & Certificate
Honorable Mention: Certificate
Honorable Mention: Certificate
Students may submit up to three works of art. One piece of artwork from the top 100 artists will be selected by our panel of jurors. Winners will be selected by public voting held in the gallery throughout the duration of the exhibition.
Use of Copyrighted Material: Use of copyrighted material, including any copyrighted artworks, cartoon characters or other such materials is not acceptable in any visual arts submission. All submissions must be one-of-a-kind works.
