Young Artist Scholarship Competition

Featuring Artwork by Our Neighborhood Youth

Calling all Oakland County high school students! Now is your chance to have artwork displayed among professional and established artists! Art Leaders Gallery has been Michigan’s leading Fine Art Gallery since 1992, representing local and internationally acclaimed artists.

Students may submit up to three works of art. One piece of artwork from the top 100 artists will be selected by our panel of jurors. Winners will be selected by public voting held in the gallery throughout the duration of the exhibition. Whether an artwork uses variety of techniques or a simple approach, efach entry will be judged primarily on how well the student uses their artistic vision to portray their theme.

Submission Requirements:

• Open to all Oakland County high school students
• Entry Fee: $10 per person (up to 3 works)
• Artwork must be no larger than 16″ x 20″
• Eligible Media: Acrylic, watercolor, and oil paintings, drawings, photography, and mixed-media artwork. Installation, performance, video, sculpture, and AI generated will not be accepted. All accepted artwork must be ready to hang prior to drop-off. We prefer artwork on paper to be framed, however we will accept artwork that is mounted/matted. Wet or incomplete artwork will not be considered or accepted.
• Digital upload: Image files must be submitted in a .jpg format and titled in the following format:
  Artwork 1: firstname_lastname1.jpg
  Artwork 2: firstname_lastname2.jpg
  Artwork 3: firstname_lastname3.jpg

Prizes: 

1st Place: $1,500 & Certificate
2nd Place: $500 & Certificate
3rd Place: $250 & Certificate
Honorable Mention: Certificate
Honorable Mention: Certificate

Important Dates:

Submission Deadline: March 31, 2025
Artists Notified: April 2, 2025
Artwork Drop Off: April 3 – 5 between 10am and 5pm
Exhibition & Voting: April 7-25
Exhibition Reception & Awards: April 26, 2025 5-7pm

Use of copyrighted material, including any copyrighted artworks, licensed characters, or other such materials will not be accepted. All submissions must be one of a kind works.
